Omschrijving:
Iran is een land met een lange historie, maar tegenwoordig zijn er wel wat spanningen met (een groot deel van) de rest van de wereld.
Ik wil niet het risico lopen dat als de spanningen nog verder oplopen en het land helemaal niet meer te bezoeken zou zijn en er wellicht historische monumenten verwoest worden voordat ik ze heb bezocht.
Wie Iran zegt zegt Isfahan en kan dan denken aan Tommy Wieringa (Ik was nooit in Isfahaan) of nog waarschijnlijker aan het gedicht (De tuinman en de dood) van Pieter Nicolaas van Eyck:
Een Perzisch Edelman:
Van morgen ijlt mijn tuinman, wit van schrik,
Mijn woning in: "Heer, Heer, één ogenblik!

En na het Islamistische Iran is het tijd om de vroeg-Christelijke landen Armenië en Georgië te bezoeken. Armenië was in 301 het eerste land dat het Christenlijk geloof als staatsgodsdienst invoerde, Georgië volgde in 319. Later in de 4e eeuw volgden 2 van 4 grote mogendheden van die tijd, in 325 het Koninkrijk van Aksum en in 380 het Romeinse Rijk (Perzië en China waren de andere belangrijke staten).
Het Christelijke geloof heeft het langer volgehouden dan de onafhankelijkheid van Armenië en Georgië. Maar als ze weer eens onafhankelijk waren (zoals in de 12e eeuw) dan gingen ze weer veel kerken en kloosters bouwen, de laatste 20 jaar worden veel historische kerken ook weer gerestaureerd (of opnieuw gebouwd).

Iran en de Kaukasus
Omschrijving:
Iran is een land met een lange historie, maar tegenwoordig zijn er wel wat spanningen met (een groot deel van) de rest van de wereld.
Ik wil niet het risico lopen dat als de spanningen nog verder oplopen en het land helemaal niet meer te bezoeken zou zijn en er wellicht historische monumenten verwoest worden voordat ik ze heb bezocht.
Wie Iran zegt zegt Isfahan en kan dan denken aan Tommy Wieringa (Ik was nooit in Isfahaan) of nog waarschijnlijker aan het gedicht (De tuinman en de dood) van Pieter Nicolaas van Eyck:

Van morgen ijlt mijn tuinman, wit van schrik,
Mijn woning in: "Heer, Heer, één ogenblik!
Ginds, in de rooshof, snoeide ik loot na loot,

En na het Islamistische Iran is het tijd om de vroeg-Christelijke landen Armenië en Georgië te bezoeken. Armenië was in 301 het eerste land dat het Christenlijk geloof als staatsgodsdienst invoerde, Georgië volgde in 319. Later in de 4e eeuw volgden 2 van 4 grote mogendheden van die tijd, in 325 het Koninkrijk van Aksum en in 380 het Romeinse Rijk (Perzië en China waren de andere belangrijke staten).
Het Christelijke geloof heeft het langer volgehouden dan de onafhankelijkheid van Armenië en Georgië. Maar als ze weer eens onafhankelijk waren (zoals in de 12e eeuw) dan gingen ze weer veel kerken en kloosters bouwen, de laatste 20 jaar worden veel historische kerken ook weer gerestaureerd (of opnieuw gebouwd).

Iran en de Kaukasus
Omschrijving:
Iran is een land met een lange historie, maar tegenwoordig zijn er wel wat spanningen met (een groot deel van) de rest van de wereld.
Ik wil niet het risico lopen dat als de spanningen nog verder oplopen en het land helemaal niet meer te bezoeken zou zijn en er wellicht historische monumenten verwoest worden voordat ik ze heb bezocht.
Wie Iran zegt zegt Isfahan en kan dan denken aan Tommy Wieringa (Ik was nooit in Isfahaan) of nog waarschijnlijker aan het gedicht (De tuinman en de dood) van Pieter Nicolaas van Eyck:
Een Perzisch Edelman:
Van morgen ijlt mijn tuinman, wit van schrik,
Mijn woning in: "Heer, Heer, één ogenblik!
Ginds, in de rooshof, snoeide ik loot na loot,

En na het Islamistische Iran is het tijd om de vroeg-Christelijke landen Armenië en Georgië te bezoeken. Armenië was in 301 het eerste land dat het Christenlijk geloof als staatsgodsdienst invoerde, Georgië volgde in 319. Later in de 4e eeuw volgden 2 van 4 grote mogendheden van die tijd, in 325 het Koninkrijk van Aksum en in 380 het Romeinse Rijk (Perzië en China waren de andere belangrijke staten).
Het Christelijke geloof heeft het langer volgehouden dan de onafhankelijkheid van Armenië en Georgië. Maar als ze weer eens onafhankelijk waren (zoals in de 12e eeuw) dan gingen ze weer veel kerken en kloosters bouwen, de laatste 20 jaar worden veel historische kerken ook weer gerestaureerd (of opnieuw gebouwd).

Iran en de Kaukasus
Omschrijving:
Iran is een land met een lange historie, maar tegenwoordig zijn er wel wat spanningen met (een groot deel van) de rest van de wereld.
Ik wil niet het risico lopen dat als de spanningen nog verder oplopen en het land helemaal niet meer te bezoeken zou zijn en er wellicht historische monumenten verwoest worden voordat ik ze heb bezocht.
Wie Iran zegt zegt Isfahan en kan dan denken aan Tommy Wieringa (Ik was nooit in Isfahaan) of nog waarschijnlijker aan het gedicht (De tuinman en de dood) van Pieter Nicolaas van Eyck:

En na het Islamistische Iran is het tijd om de vroeg-Christelijke landen Armenië en Georgië te bezoeken. Armenië was in 301 het eerste land dat het Christenlijk geloof als staatsgodsdienst invoerde, Georgië volgde in 319. Later in de 4e eeuw volgden 2 van 4 grote mogendheden van die tijd, in 325 het Koninkrijk van Aksum en in 380 het Romeinse Rijk (Perzië en China waren de andere belangrijke staten).
Het Christelijke geloof heeft het langer volgehouden dan de onafhankelijkheid van Armenië en Georgië. Maar als ze weer eens onafhankelijk waren (zoals in de 12e eeuw) dan gingen ze weer veel kerken en kloosters bouwen, de laatste 20 jaar worden veel historische kerken ook weer gerestaureerd (of opnieuw gebouwd).

[description] => Iran is een land met een lange historie, maar tegenwoordig zijn er wel wat spanningen met (een groot deel van) de rest van de wereld.
Ik wil niet het risico lopen dat als de spanningen nog verder oplopen en het land helemaal niet meer te bezoeken zou zijn en er wellicht historische monumenten verwoest worden voordat ik ze heb bezocht.

Heb ik in 't cederpark de Dood ontmoet.
"Waarom," zo vraag ik, want hij wacht en zwijgt,
"Hebt gij van morgen vroeg mijn knecht gedreigd?"
Glimlachend antwoordt hij: "Geen dreiging was 't,
Waarvoor uw tuinman vlood. Ik was verrast,
Toen 'k 's morgens hier nog stil aan 't werk zag staan,
Die 'k 's avonds halen moest in Ispahaan."
En na het Islamistische Iran is het tijd om de vroeg-Christelijke landen Armenië en Georgië te bezoeken. Armenië was in 301 het eerste land dat het Christenlijk geloof als staatsgodsdienst invoerde, Georgië volgde in 319. Later in de 4e eeuw volgden 2 van 4 grote mogendheden van die tijd, in 325 het Koninkrijk van Aksum en in 380 het Romeinse Rijk (Perzië en China waren de andere belangrijke staten).
Het Christelijke geloof heeft het langer volgehouden dan de onafhankelijkheid van Armenië en Georgië. Maar als ze weer eens onafhankelijk waren (zoals in de 12e eeuw) dan gingen ze weer veel kerken en kloosters bouwen, de laatste 20 jaar worden veel historische kerken ook weer gerestaureerd (of opnieuw gebouwd).
